This hike is an in and out hike and offers winter views of Indian Boundary Lake, the Citico Creek Wilderness, and the Tellico Ranger District as well as mountain views. The hike starts above Indian Boundary at about 3800 feet. The trail winds through several grassy fields before starting it’s descend into the Citico Creek Wilderness Area. The trail mainly follows a ridgeline but has numerous switchbacks which means the trail will drop off of the ridgeline and turn in order to regain the ridgeline at a lower elevation. It is during some sections of these switchbacks that the trail narrows to widths of 2 feet of less. This should be considered before selecting this hike.

Hiking boots and hiking stick(s) are recommended for both hikes.  Bring ample water and a trail lunch.
Directions will be provided the morning of the hikes.  Car-pooling is recommended and will be set up the morning of the hikes. Passengers are asked to contribute $5 to the driver to help cover gas etc.
