This is an in and out hike along Meigs Creek in the Smokies.  The trail follows the creek and there are approximately 16 creek crossings.  We will have lunch at a waterfall alongside the creek.
The creek crossings are typically low enough that you can wade through them wearing hiking boots with minimum rock hopping.  The length of the hike may be shortened based on creek conditions.  The default hike, if necessary, is Coyote Point Trail in Lone Mountain State Forest outside of Wartburg.
Hiking boots and hiking sticks are recommended. Driving directions will be provided the morning of the hike.
Bring water and a trail lunch. Carpooling is recommended, passengers are asked to contribute $6 to the driver to help cover gas, etc.
