Sugarland Mountain Trail

"Hiked from top to bottom, the Sugarland Mountain Trail is a long leisurely delight. It is only occasionally steep and rocky and is nowhere very muddy. There are exceptional vistas from several points, as well as some old-growth forest and a splendid diversity of forest types. Hiking the trail for its entire length is a wonderful way to spend a whole day outdoors in the Smokies." -- Hiking Trails of the Smokies.

The complete trail is 11.9 miles from the Appalachian Trail to little River Road at Laurel Falls parking area. It is about 4 miles from Little River to Campsite 21.
